The 3rd Annual National Juried Exhibition "Of Memory, Bone and Myth"
The University of North Dakota's Department of Art & Design seeks entries for a juried photography exhibition at The Gallery at the Rourke Art Museum, Moorhead, MN, April 13 - May 11, 2012. Best, First, Second & Third Monetary awards. Juror: Stephen Perloff. Open to national artists of all levels (professional, emerging and students 18 years and over). All photographic media accepted, including but not limited to historical process, traditional silver printing chromogenic printing and digital processes. All work must be for sale. Call to Fiber and Jewelry Artists
Larson Gallery is soliciting entries for Adorn the Form: New Directions in Fiber and Jewelry, a biennial national juried exhibition that runs April 13 through May 12, 2012. Approximately $3,000 in prize money will be awarded. Eligible work includes hats, showes, bags, jewelry, scarves, hair adornments, belts, etc in media such as metal, fiber, paper, plastic and other materials. Adorn the Form offers a broad platform for fiber and jewelry artists beyond garment or wearable art. This year's juror is Seattle metalsmith and stylist, Jana Brevick. She has work in the collection of Tacoma Art Museum and exhibits work at SOIL Gallery and Facere Jewelry Art Gallery both in Seattle. Learn more about the juror at http://janabrevick.com.
Only original artwork not previously shown in a juried exhibition at the Larson Gallery and completed during the preceding two calendar years will be considered. The 2012 Artist-Wilderness Connection Program
An artist in residence project that connects artists and local communities with public lands of the Flathead National Forest. Professional working artists of various disciplines, media and styles spend up to two weeks in a remote forest cabin in the Flathead NF to focus on their respective art. After completing the residency, artists select a format to share their talents and residency experience with the community, and donate a representative piece of their art to the Artist-Wilderness-Connection Program. Show your art in Montana Natural History Center's Gallery
The Montana Natural History Center is currently accepting submissions of artwork for the categories below. Submit 8 bit JPEGs, 72 ppi, largest dimension 1280 pixels (width or height) and titled with your last name, first initial, filename, and category: Doe_J_filename_category.jpeg. You may submit work for all categories. Please no more than 3 works per category except for Solo Show. Chosen work must be matted and remain in the gallery for the duration of the show. Springfield Art Museum in Springfield, MO announces a call to artists for Watercolor U.S.A. 2012, June 9 - August 5, 2012. $40,000 in cash, merchandise, patron and Museum purchase awards. Juror: Miranda Lash, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the New Orleans Museum of Art. Open to any artist, 18 years or older, living in the U.S. or its possessions. Artists Invited to Apply - Madison Valley Arts Festival
The Ennis Arts Association will hold its 17th Annual Madison Valley Arts Festival Saturday, August 11, 2012. Artists working in all media are invited to submit entries for this juried show. The festival will take place in Peter T.'s Park, in attractive Ennis, Montana on the historic trail between Yellowstone National Park and Virginia City. In addition to the artist booths, there will be live entertainment, delicious food, an art raffle, “Meet the Author” book signing, and children’s face painting. 112th Anniversary International Exhibition of Works on Paper
The Philadelphia Water Color Society announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, October 5 - November 17, 2012, at the Wayne Art Center in Wayne, Pennsylvania. Over $5,000 in awards. Juror: Frank Webb AWS, ( DF ), NWS. Eligible media include: pastels, water media, drawings, hand pulled prints, all work original and on or of paper. Collage elements must be of paper, any image or color on collage papers must be the work of the artist. No work previously exhibited at Wayne Art Center or in any PWCS exhibition will be accepted. No oils, photographic, digital, electronic process computer art will be accepted. No work older than 3 years and must not have been done under teacher supervision. PWCS Members $15. Non members $45. Alpine Artisans Exhibit at Bigfork Museum of Art & History
August, 2013
Members of Alpine Artisans are invited to exhibit their work at the Bigfork Museum of Art and History during the month of August, 2013. Open to all member artists of Alpine Artisans, the gallery can exhibit flat art (paintings, quilts, etc.) as well as pottery, metal work, wood work, baskets, sculpture, and jewelry. This is an opportunity for our member artists to show their work to a new audience, as well as to advertise our Tour of the Arts. There will be a small entry fee of $10 per artist, and any sales will be a 40% commission to the gallery. Artists will be responsible for delivery and pick-up of their own artwork.
Bigfork Village attracts many tourists during the summer months. Our exhibit is timed to take full advantage of the summer traffic. Mission Mountains Mercantile Retail Sales Opportunity For AAI Artisans
This offer is extended to all AAI artisans and other artists/artisans accepted by Mission Mountains Mercantile (MMM). Ms. Grace Siloti, owner of Grace's Greenhouses in Condon and Seeley Lake, is the MMM representative and contact person for this project (e-mail: gracesplace@blackfoot.net) or call 754-2881. All items accepted for sale by MMM will be placed on display at a time, place (shelf/wall), and duration to be determined by Ms. Siloti. MMM will deduct 30% sales commission of each item's retail price, as declared by the artisan at time of submission of the item to MMM for sale. The artisan will 'log in' each accepted piece on a Standard Inventory Form (to be created by MMM), showing date of acceptance by MMM, artisan's name, address, phone/e-mail, title of piece, retail price, (etc?). The sale date of the piece (and customer name?) will be entered onto the Form by the MMM clerk who collects the retail price funds from the customer. MMM will send the seller-artisan a check for the amount of net sales proceeds at end of each month. Notification to the artisan of completed sale(s) of her/his pieces will be accomplished via issuance of the check noted above.
