Youth Art Grants

Alpine Artisans, Inc. is offering grants to help young people pay for art, drama, dance, or music educational activities any time through June 2018.  All K-12 students attending schools, or homeschooled, in the Blackfoot and Seeley-Swan Valleys are eligible.  The maximum youth grant award is $200 to help with tuition and expenses.

Interested students must submit the following please:

To apply please submit:

  • Letter to Alpine Artisans introducing yourself and what art you wish to pursue;
  • The specific amount of money you need and what it will be used for.  (This may include not only tuition, fees and cost of art supplies, but also some travel costs for as far as Missoula or Helena)
  • Information about the camp, class, workshop, or lessons.  (If you have a website or brochure, please include it)
  • One letter of recommendation from your teacher or someone else (other than immediate family) who would like you to pursue your artistic passion or talent.
  • Your Contact Information:  Your name, mailing address (physical and electronic), and phone number.

Applications must be received by April 26, 2017

Senior Arts Scholarship

Alpine Artisans, Inc. is offering a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior in the Seeley-Swan or Blackfoot Valleys, or former graduates now attending an institution of higher education,  who plans to major or minor in the arts (i.e., music, drama, fine and graphic arts, dance).

To apply please submit:

  • A written description of your interest and background in the arts.  Tell us why you would like to be considered for this scholarship and where you see yourself in your chosen art in five years.  (Your essay should be typed and 500-750 words);
  • Three letters of recommendation (at least one of which should be from a current teacher of yours);
  • One or more representations of your work;
  • The name of the institution of higher education or specialized training that you will be attending and when your enrollment will begin;
  • Contact information:  Your name, address (physical and electronic), and phone number.

Plan to attend an interview with the Alpine Artisans Scholarship Committee.
